उत्तराखंड के उत्तरकाशी में छह दिन पहले एक सुरंग धंस गई, जिसमें 7 राज्यों के 40 मजदूर फंसे हुए हैं. मजदूरों को निकालने के लिए रेक्स्यू लगातार चल रहा है, जिसमें एनडीआरएफ, एसडीआरएफ समेत कई नागरिक सुरक्षा बलों के जवान जुटे हुए हैं. इस हादसे को लेकर ग्रामीणों का मानना है कि सुरंग ढहने के पीछे स्थानीय देवता बाबा बौखनाग का प्रकोप है.

ग्रामीणों ने कहा कि बाबा बौखनाग के क्रोध के कारण सुरंग धसक गई, क्योंकि उनका मंदिर निर्माण कार्य के चलते ध्वस्त कर दिया गया था. लोगों ने कहा कि चारधाम ऑल वेदर रोड प्रोजेक्ट का काम चल रहा था. इसी में सुरंग बनाई गई थी, जिसका एक हिस्सा ढह गया था. निर्माण कंपनी ने मंदिर को तोड़ दिया था, इसी के कुछ दिनों बाद सुरंग ढहने से 40 मजदूर फंस गए.

मंदिर के पुजारी गणेश प्रसाद बिजल्वाण ने कहा कि फंसे हुए श्रमिकों को बचाने के शुरुआती प्रयास विफल रहे. इसके बाद कंपनी के अधिकारियों ने बुधवार को फोन किया था. उन्होंने माफी मांगी और विशेष पूजा कराने की बात कही. उन्होंने पूजा कराई और मजदूरों को बचाने के लिए चल रहे रेस्क्यू की सफलता के लिए प्रार्थना की.

पुजारी ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड देवताओं की भूमि है. यहां किसी भी पुल, सड़क या सुरंग के निर्माण से पहले स्थानीय देवता के लिए एक छोटा मंदिर बनाने की परंपरा है. उनका आशीर्वाद लेने के बाद ही काम पूरा किया जाता है. उन्होंने कहा कि हमारा यह भी मानना है कि निर्माण कंपनी ने मंदिर तोड़कर गलती की और इसी कारण 40 श्रमिकों की जान खतरे में पड़ गई.

 वहीं अन्य स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि निर्माण कंपनी ने उत्तरकाशी के सिल्क्यारा गांव में सुरंग के मुहाने के पास स्थित मंदिर को ध्वस्त कर दिया था. इसी वजह से देवता का क्रोध सुरंग ढहने के रूप में सामने आया. लोगों का कहना है कि बौखनाग देवता को इलाके का रक्षक माना जाता है.

सिल्क्यारा गांव के निवासी 40 वर्षीय धनवीर चंद रमोला ने कहा कि सुरंग के पास मंदिर था, जिसे हटा दिया गया. हादसे के पीछे लोग इसी को वजह मान रहे हैं. परियोजना शुरू होने से पहले सुरंग के मंदिर था. स्थानीय मान्यताओं का सम्मान करते हुए अधिकारी और मजदूर पूजा करने के बाद ही सुरंग में प्रवेश करते थे. इस मंदिर को कुछ दिन पहले कंपनी ने हटा दिया था.

ग्रामीण ने कहा- हमने कंपनी को सुझाव दिया था, मगर नहीं माना ( The villager said- We had given suggestion to the company, but it was not accepted)

एक अन्य ग्रामीण राकेश नौटियाल ने कहा कि हमने निर्माण कंपनी से मंदिर को न तोड़ने के लिए कहा था. उनसे यह भी कहा था कि अगर उन्हें ऐसा करना ही है तो पास में एक दूसरा मंदिर बनवा दें, लेकिन कंपनी ने हमारे सुझाव को यह कहते हुए खारिज कर दिया कि यह अंधविश्वास है.

उन्होंने कहा कि इससे पहले भी प्रोजेक्ट की शुरुआत में सुरंग का एक हिस्सा धंस गया था, लेकिन तब एक भी मजदूर नहीं फंसा और न ही किसी का नुकसान हुआ, तब वहां मंदिर था.

छह दिनों से सुरंग में फंसे 40 मजदूरों को निकालने के प्रयास जारी हैं. सुरंग में मजदूरों तक पहुंचने के लिए भारतीय वायुसेना द्वारा दिल्ली से एक हैवी ड्रिलिंग मशीन लाई गई है, जिससे सुरंग के मलबे के बीच से मजदूरों तक पहुंचने का काम शुरू किया गया है.

सुरंग में कैसे हुआ था हादसा? ( how did the accident happen in the tunnel)

बता दें कि ब्रह्मखाल-यमुनोत्री राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर सिल्क्यारा और डंडालगांव के बीच सुरंग बन रही थी. इसका एक हिस्सा रविवार की सुबह ढह गया था, जिसमें 40 मजदूर सुरंग के अंदर ही फंस गए. इस सुरंग की कुल लंबाई 4.5 किलोमीटर है. इसमें सिल्क्यारा के छोर से 2,340 मीटर और डंडालगांव की ओर से 1,750 मीटर तक निर्माण किया गया है.

सुरंग के दोनों किनारों के बीच 441 मीटर की दूरी का निर्माण होना था. अधिकारियों ने कहा था कि सुरंग सिल्क्यारा की तरफ से ढही है. सुरंग का जो हिस्सा ढह गया, वह एंट्री गेट से 200 मीटर की दूरी पर था.
