देहरादून : प्रदेश के राजकीय व अशासकीय महाविदयालय के साथ ही विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में होने वाले छात्रसंघ चुनाव में छात्राओं को पचास फीसद प्रतिनिधित्व दिया जाएगा। इसके साथ ही छात्रसंघ में मेधावी छात्र छात्राओं की भागीदारी भी सुनिश्चित की जाएगी। जिसके निर्देश विभागीय मंत्री डा धन सिंह रावत ने प्रदेश के सभी राजकीय विश्वविद्यालयों के कुलपतियों को दे दिए हैं।
उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री डा धन सिंह रावत ने बताया कि विश्वविद्यालय एवं महाविद्यालयों के अंतर्गत छात्रसंघ एवं छात्र परिषदों में छात्राओं को 50 फीसदी प्रतिनिधित्व दिया जाएगा। इसके लिये सभी विश्वविद्यालयों के कुलपतियों को निर्देश जारी कर दिये गये हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में छात्रसंघ सिर्फ राजनीति के लिए नहीं अपितु रचनात्मक गतिविधियों एवं शैक्षिणिक माहौल तैयार करने का काम करेंगे। इसके लिए सभी विश्वविद्यालय परिसरों एवं महाविद्यालयों के छात्रसंघों एवं छात्र परिषदों में मेधावी छात्रों की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित की जायेगी।
विभागीय मंत्री ने बताया कि प्रदेश में उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में कुल 152387 विद्यार्थी अध्ययनरत हैं जिसमें छात्राओं की संख्या 100272 जबकि छात्रों की संख्या 52115 है। यानी 65.8 फीसद छात्राएं हैं और 34.2 छात्र हैं। जिसमें से राजकीय महाविद्यालय परिसरों में कुल 97997 विद्यार्थी अध्ययनरत हैं जिसमें 30130 छात्र व 67867 छात्राएं शामिल हैं। वहीं अशासकीय में 34590 में 14730 छात्र व 19860 छात्राएं हैं। विश्वविद्यालयी परिसरों में कुल 19800 विद्यार्थी हैं जिसमें 7255 छात्र व 12545 छात्राएं शामिल हैं।
मंत्री डॉ रावत ने बताया कि सभी उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में लिंगदोह कमेटी की सिफारिशों के अनुरूप चुनाव कराए जाएंगे। विश्वविद्यालयों के छात्रसंघ संविधान में जो भी बदलाव अपेक्षित हैं उन्हें करने के लिए संबंधित संस्थानों के कुलपतियों को निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
